CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw, Jr. announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of July 16, 2012.
Shaw identified the defendant as Daniel Dillen, age 25, of Glendale Valley Boulevard, Fallentimber.
Shaw stated that Dillen is wanted in six separate cases for failure to appear at criminal call on July 12, 2012.
On March 26, 2012, Trooper David Patrick of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed six criminal complaints charging Dillen with: 1) burglary, F1/F2, 4 counts; 2) criminal conspiracy to commit burglary, F1/F2, 6 counts; 3) criminal trespass, F2, 4 counts; 4) criminal conspiracy to commit criminal trespass, F2, 6 counts; 4) theft by unlawful taking, M1, 12 counts; 5) receiving stolen property, M1, 12 counts; 6) theft by unlawful taking, M2, 5 counts; and 7) receiving stolen property, M2, 5 counts.
The criminal complaints provide that in December 2011 and January 2012 the Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation into six separate burglaries that occurred in Beccaria Township, Chest Township, Houtzdale Borough, and Coalport Borough. Upon further investigation, it was found that Dillen and 4 other actors had broken into several area businesses, a camp, and the Glendale Sportsmen’s Club. Dillen and the other actors unlawfully removed over $11,000.00 worth of items from the various locations.
A preliminary hearing was held on May 2, 2012, at which time all charges were held to court. On July 12, 2012, Dillen failed to appear for criminal call and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
