Central Pennsylvania Community Action (CPCA) has announced their first-ever night golf tournament. The tournament will get under way at 8 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Eagles Ridge Golf Course, Curwensville.
The tournament will include nine holes of golf with glow in the dark golf balls, glow tees and lighted fairways. Registration will be $65 per golfer and $250 for a team of four. It will include golf, a car rental and a picnic dinner, as well as opportunities to win pro-shop credits, a silent auction and two hole-in-one prizes valuing more than $23,000.
The tournament benefits Group Workcamp 2014, a week-long event sponsored by CPCA in which church youth groups travel to the Philipsburg/Clearfield area to complete home projects for elderly, low-income and disabled persons in the community. These projects include building wheelchair ramps, painting, weatherization, porch and step repairs/replacement, mobile home skirting and more.
