CLEARFIELD – On Tuesday, the Lawrence Township Planning Commission approved a conditional use for a proposed hotel along Industrial Park Road..
The owner/developer of the proposed Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites on Industrial Park Road has requested conditional use for a building height of 50 feet, 9 inches.
The township’s ordinance has a maximum height 35 feet, said Agatha Lauder-English, code enforcement officer for Lawrence Township. You can get 45 feet by making the set-backs larger, she added.
“We have the new ordinance saying that you’re allowed up to 75 feet as a conditional use,” Lauder-English said.
The motion passed for to send the conditional use on to the Lawrence Township Supervisors as it meets code approval. A public hearing will be held for this conditional use prior to consideration by the supervisors.
