A hit-and-run accident occurred at 4:30 a.m. Friday on Swoope Street in Brisbin Borough. A male operator failed to obey the direction of the fire department and struck a down power line. Then, he fled the scene with approximately 80 feet of wire. He was driving a green-colored Ford Ranger with a lift. The investigation is ongoing at this time. An incident of harassment occurred at 5:42 p.m. Friday on Wood Street in Coalport Borough. A known female allegedly threatened to harm a 44-year-old Coalport man.
An incident of DUI occurred at approximately 2:40 a.m. Saturday along state Route 2037 in Cooper Township. A 32-year-old Woodland man was stopped for a traffic violation. Upon speaking with him, it was determined that he’d been consuming alcoholic beverages. He attempted two standardized field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Woodland barracks for a breath test. Once at the state police barracks, he agreed to the breath test, which revealed a .17 percent blood-alcohol content. Charges of DUI and related summary offenses are pending against the man through the district court in Kylertown.
An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime between 12:01 a.m. and 7 a.m. Saturday on Sington Road in Graham Township. An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred sometime between 3 p.m. and 3:38 p.m. Saturday at the Leyo’s Market parking lot in Coalport Borough. A person(s) removed a dealer plate from a Munster Auto Sales vehicle. The dealer plate had a state registration of H25441H. An incident of burglary occurred sometime between 12 p.m. June 26 and 6 p.m. Saturday at a camp along Trout Run Road in Goshen Township. A person(s) broke into “Camp Miss-A-Buck”, and once inside, they stole a gray jumper pack, two mini mags, toilet paper and 30-30 bullets. Minor injuries were reported after a motorcycle versus vehicle collision at 1:40 p.m. Sunday along Egypt Road in Bradford Township. A 15-year-old juvenile was traveling westbound on Egypt Road and negotiating a right-hand curve. The juvenile’s motorcycle traveled into the eastbound lane and collided with the front end of a Chevrolet Malibu operated by Emily A. Williams, 76, of Woodland. The juvenile was wearing a motorcycle helmet and sustained minor injuries. The juvenile was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for medical treatment. Williams wasn’t injured and was able to drive her vehicle from the scene. The juvenile will be cited for various vehicle code violations.
