Douglas “Alan” Robertson, Age 70 of Thunderbird Road, DuBois, died July 04, 2012 at his residence.
Born on June 5, 1942 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late George H. & Naomi “Ruth” (Hayes) Robertson.
On April 8, 1972, he married Joan C. (Alburg) Robertson. She survives.
He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Vietnam War.
He retired from the United Electric Company.
He was a member of the James J, Patterson Post 813 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Alan is survived by a daughter (Crystal L. Sayers and her husband Shawn of DuBois, PA) a son ( Brent A. Robertson and his wife Ainsley of St. Thomas, USVI) a sister(Elizabeth E. Siko and her husband John of Ft. Myers, FL) and 3 grandchildren (Tate, Gavin, & Reese Sayers)
He was preceded in death by his brother (George Robertson)
Visitation will be on July 6, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home. A ritual service will be conducted on Saturday morning at 9:45 a.m. by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard. A funeral service will be held on July 7, 2012 at 10 a.m. from the funeral home with Fr. Rick Tomasone officiating. Full military Honors will be accorded from the funeral home. Burial will follow in Desire Cemetery.
