A Fuller Street woman reported June 25 that her residence was burglarized, and someone had removed her 42-inch LCD television. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
A man reported June 25 that his rental home, which is located on North Fourth Street, was burglarized. When he arrived to show the home, he discovered the rear door had been forced open. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
Police responded to argument that was occurring between a man and woman June 25 on Scribner Avenue. The woman had just been released from the hospital. She returned home and the man told her she didn’t live there anymore. Police resolved the incident without any arrests.
A local woman reported June 25 that her boyfriend’s ex-wife was harassing her at the city park. Police interviewed both and didn’t make any arrests.
A Robinson Street woman reported June 25 that her boyfriend’s ex-wife was harassing her over the phone. Again, police interviewed both, and charges weren’t filed.
On June 25, a local man was arrested for public drunkenness after being found walking and vomiting on West Scribner Avenue. The man had a half empty gallon bottle of whiskey. He refused to cooperate with police and was transported to the Clearfield County Jail, where officials weren’t able to accept him because of his level of intoxication. He was subsequently transported to the Clearfield Hospital and refused to cooperate with medical personnel. The man had to be restrained. After being medically cleared, he was transported back to the CCJ. He was cited for public drunkenness by the DuBois City police and with disorderly conduct by the Clearfield Borough police.
A Sherman Avenue woman reported June 26 that she’d observed suspicious activity at her neighbor’s residence. The woman was concerned because her neighbors were away on vacation. Police checked the residence and determined that everything was OK.
On June 26, police responded to a noise complaint on Church Street. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered it was two small children who were playing. No charges were filed.
On June 26, a woman reported finding evidence of a squatter in her empty rental house on East DuBois Avenue. Police located the evidence of the identity of the squatter. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
On June 26, police responded to Burt Street for two women who were arguing over Direct TV equipment. Police determined the matter was civil and directed both to settle it through the appropriate court.
A man reported June 26 that he was being harassed through text messages by his ex-girlfriend. The two share a child and were working on custody issues. No charges were filed.
On June 26, police responded to a woman who was experiencing mental health problems on Juniata Street. She called 911 reporting there were people in her residence and they were disappearing. She asked responding officers if they were real and there to help her. The woman was transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
A Scribner Avenue woman reported June 26 that her boyfriend was behaving erratically. Police contacted him and determined that he was OK.
On June 26, two juveniles were found attempting to sneak into the fireworks tent in the Hoss’s parking lot after it was closed. The juveniles were turned over to their parents.
On June 26, a man reported he hadn’t heard from or seen his friend for several days. He was concerned about him. Police were able to make contact with him and everything was OK.
On June 27, a man was found under the influence of alcohol while walking on Liberty Boulevard. The man wasn’t cited and given transportation to his hotel.
A Reynoldsville woman reported June 27 that her boyfriend and her mother were arguing with her and not allowing her to leave the residence. Before police arrived, she was able to leave and went to her own residence. No charges were filed.
A two-vehicle accident was investigation June 27 at the intersection of Quarry Avenue and Robinson Street. An Emlenton woman wasn’t able to stop and struck the rear of a vehicle driven by a Brockway man. No injuries were reported. Citations weren’t filed.
Police responded to an argument between a 17-year-old girl and her mother on June 27. They were able to resolve the incident without making any arrests.
An East Weber Avenue woman reported an incident of theft on June 27. She allowed a friend to stay with her for a short time. When the man left, he removed several items that belonged to her, including a watch and a Wii gaming system. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
On June 27, police responded to a domestic disturbance on East Washington Avenue. A woman reported she was pushed by her male roommate after they’d been arguing. The man reported he was tired and wanted left alone. The woman didn’t want to pursue charges.
On June 27, police responded to the 100 block of East Park Avenue for a small child who was walking by himself along the road. Police determined the boy was 8 years old and waiting for his sister.
A Reynoldsville girl reported June 27 that she was harassed by another girl at the city park. Police weren’t able to location the other girl. No charges were filed.
On June 27, police responded to the 400 block of South Fourth Street for a property dispute. A DuBois man was attempting to retrieve property from his girlfriend’s residence when her father, the property owner, was attempting to block his access. The item was returned.
On June 27, police responded to the 100 block of West Scribner Avenue for a 911 hang-up. Police learned that a known man and woman were arguing over a vehicle, and they had already separated for the night. No charges were filed.
On June 28, police responded to Sheetz to meet with an assault victim. A 46-year-old Danielsville woman reported she was in town to visit her boyfriend, a 50-year-old Allentown man, at the Manor Motel. The two allegedly engaged in an argument during which he struck her in the face. He also allegedly ripped her shirt and injured her thumb. The investigation is ongoing at this time. The man later called police and alleged the woman had stolen his shirt and the TV remote control. He called a second time and reported the woman was intoxicated and drinking in the parking lot of the police station. Both of those reports were unfounded.
