HYDE – The Clearfield American Legion Post 6 baseball team picked up an easy Central Penn League West Division win Thursday evening when Hollidaysburg was unable to field nine players at the Bison Sports Complex.
The forfeit keeps the Chiefs in the middle of the division race at 7-4, good enough for second place.
Clearfield faces an all-important home-field showdown with frontrunning State College Saturday at 5 p.m.
