Officers were called to Friendly Tavern on Monday because employees were experiencing problems with patrons who refused to leave. Officers handled the situation without incident.
While at the Friendly Tavern assisting with the problem patrons on Monday, officers encountered a 24-year-old DuBois man who had a warrant for his arrest through the Clearfield County Sheriff’s office. The man was taken into custody and turned over to Sheriffs.
A 37-year-old Treasure Lake woman reported Monday that her 38-year-old ex-husband who lives in Punxsutawney was at her residence. The man had been told on several occasions that he was not allowed on the property. The man was gone upon officers arrival. Police were called back to the residence when the man returned. He refused to leave the property or cooperate with police. He was arrested and after he was arraigned, he was transported to Clearfield County Jail.
Officers investigated a report of loud music at a Forrest Avenue residence on Monday. The situation was handled without incident.
A Treasure Lake resident reported on Monday that someone stole a solar light from his yard.
A tractor-trailer driver reported Monday that while he was sleeping in his parked truck at the Pilot Truck Stop, another truck struck his, causing minor damage and then fled the scene.
A 63-year-old Treasure Lake woman reported Monday that her 39-year-old son assaulted her in their home. Officers met the woman at the front gate and found her to have injuries consistent with what she said her son had done. Officer went to the residence and found the son who admitted to what he had done. He was arrested and charged with simple assault and terroristic threats.
Shop N Save employees reported Monday that two females who were approximately in there 20’s left the store with a cart load of groceries that they hadn’t paid for. An employee confronted the two in the parking lot and was able to retrieve some of the merchandise before they fled the scene. The investigation continues at this time.
A Circle Road resident reported Monday that someone was knocking on her back door, but when she looked to see who it was no one was there.
A 21-year-old South Main Street woman reported Tuesday that her 4-year-old son was missing from their residence. Prior to police arrival, another South Main Street resident reported that he found a child wondering around his house. Officers retrieved the boy and returned him to his mother. No problems were found at his residence.
A Treasure Lake resident reported Tuesday that a vehicle hit their house then fled the scene. The vehicle traveled through the yard, causing damage before hitting the home. It then traveled up the driveway, hitting the home owner’s vehicle and fled the scene. The offender, a Treasure Lake resident, was located and charges will be filed.
