Roy Clair Kindig, 86, of Clearfield, passed away at 12:42 a.m., June 18, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Mr. Kindig was born at Clearfield on Oct 23, 1925, the son of the late Roy C. Kindig and Jane (Kelly) Kindig.
He retired from the PA Department of Welfare in 1989. Prior to his work with the Welfare department , he operated a coal testing laboratory.
Mr. Kindig was Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Clearfield.
On June 28, 1949, Mr. Kindig married Una Elizabeth “Beth” (Cornely) Kindig who survives of Clearfield.
He is also survived by four children; Karl K. Kindig and his wife Rhonda of Abingdon, VA, Jane C. Angeletti and her husband Philip of DuBois, Mary Alice Mackie of San Jose, CA and Richard K. Kindig of Clearfield and his companion Sharon Mazzarella; two grandchildren, Kenna Elizabeth Kindig and Terri Lynn Angeletti; a brother, Dr. Kelly Kindig, Ph.D., HHP and his wife Marilynn of Arizona.
Mr. Kindig was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no public visitation and private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Alexander Cemetery, Madera with Pastor Joe Muir officiating Condolences may be sent to; condolences@kruisefuneralhome.com.
