An incident of criminal mischief/disorderly conduct occurred around 1 a.m. June 7 at Get-Go in Fox Township, Elk County. A person(s) pulled a steel pump guard from the ground and placed it in the parking lot. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ridgway-based state police at 814-776-6136.
A checkpoint strike force initiative was conducted from 11 p.m. Friday through 3 a.m. Saturday along state Route 948 in Fox Township, Elk County. State police briefly detained 47 vehicles, and the drivers were checked for signs of intoxication. One driver was subjected to additional sobriety testing. However, none of the drivers were determined to be above the legal limit. These checkpoints will be conducted in Elk County and other counties throughout the state, where there are high incidences of alcohol-related vehicle accidents.
An incident of theft occurred sometime between 8 a.m. June 11 and 6:30 p.m. June 12 on Lovers Lane in Fox Township, Elk County. Someone removed a large floral vine from the side of a 40-year-old Kersey woman’s front porch before fleeing the scene.
An incident of theft occurred sometime between 8 a.m. May 30 and 11 a.m. June 3 at the intersection of state Route 255 and Pontzer Lane in Fox Township, Elk County. Someone removed a road side from its post; the sign read “Pontzer Lane.”
An incident of harassment occurred at 10:49 p.m. Saturday in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Fox Township, Elk County. A 19-year-old St. Marys man allegedly followed a 19-year-old St. Marys woman in a vehicle throughout the parking lot, causing the victim to be alarmed. A non-traffic citation was filed on the man through the district court.
