Shirley J. “Jean” Berry, 70, of Brockway died Thursday at her residence.
Born March 20, 1942 in Punxsutawney, she was the daughter of the late Merle and Glennetta (White) Van Horn.
On March 4, 1961, she married Lionel M. Berry. He survives.
Mrs. Berry worked at Owen’s Brockway Glass for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed her family, painting, gardening and feeding her deer and turkey.
She is survived by her five daughters, Karen Garlic (Don) of Springville, VT; Barb Critchlow (Noel) of Lancaster; June Powers (Rick) of DuBois; and Janet Prave (Nick) of and Diana Berry of Brockway and her son, Bill Berry (Kelly) of Falls Creek; a brother, Dick Van Horn of Swickley; and a sister, Nancy Forrest of Punxsutawney; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Bret LaBue, Jeremiah Powers and Savoria Berry.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
