HOLLIDAYSBURG – The Clearfield American Legion baseball team held a 6-1 lead over Hollidaysburg after two innings Tuesday evening when rain forced the Central Penn League West Division game to be suspended.
A date for the completion of the game will be determined later in the season, according to Chiefs manager Sid Lansberry.
He noted that Clearfield’s game with Philipsburg scheduled for June 20 at the Bison Sports Complex has been shifted to June 21 at Philipsburg.
Also, Lansberry has learned that Clearfield now will not be a host team for the Bellefonte Bandits Wood Bat Tournament because the event is down to 32 teams. Instead, the Chiefs will travel to Philipsburg June 22 and 23.
The CPL standings:
West Division – Philipsburg 1-0, State College 3-1, DuBois 2-1, Clearfield 3-2, Altoona 0-0, Hollidaysburg 0-0.
