WOODWARD TOWNSHIP – A 17-year-old Philipsburg boy sustained minor injuries after a single-vehicle accident at 12:14 p.m. Friday along state Route 253 in Woodward Township, the Clearfield-based state police reported.
The boy was traveling southbound when a bee flew into his Jeep Wrangler. The bee stung the boy in his leg, causing him to lose control of his vehicle. It traveled off the roadway and struck a tree.
The boy was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. He was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Police were assisted at the scene by the Houtzdale and Madera fire companies.
