An incident of harassment occurred at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Fuel-On on Susquehanna Avenue in Curwensville Borough. A 33-year-old man allegedly assaulted an 18-year-old girl. Charges have been filed for harassment through the district court.
No injuries were reported following a three-vehicle accident at 2:45 p.m. Friday along U.S. Route 322 in Decatur Township. William E. Crigler, 27, of Port Marion and Carl R. Kestler, 69, of Osceola Mills were traveling eastbound when both stopped because the vehicles ahead had done so. A Morrisdale female who wasn’t identified by police was traveling eastbound and following the Crigler and Kestler vehicles. She attempted to stop her vehicle but wasn’t able to, striking the Kestler vehicle in the rear bumper and forcing it into the Crigler vehicle. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the mishap. The female will be cited for driving vehicle at a safe speed through the district court.
An incident of burglary/theft occurred sometime between 7 p.m. May 12 and 9:30 a.m. Saturday on Billotte Road in Girard Township. A person(s) removed the steel bars to a rear window and gained access to a 70-year-old Philipsburg man’s cabin. Once inside they sliced and removed the wire/plugs from two coffee pots, toasters and other miscellaneous household appliances. In addition, they cut the copper tubing for the propane heater and removed a trail camera. Theft is estimated at $750; the criminal mischief damage is estimated at $500.
An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime between 3 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday on Medix Road approximately one mile north of the Caledonia Pike in Goshen Township. Someone caused approximately $10,000 worth of damage to a D5 Dozer that belonged to Lefever Excavating of DuBois. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
