Peggy L. Helsel, 80 of Hellam and formerly of Philipsburg, passed away May 27, 2012 at her residence.
Born April 10, 1932 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Carl & Selma (Fowler) Goss.
On Oct. 9, 1954 in Winchester, VA, she wed Joseph C. Helsel Jr., who survives at home.
She is survived by her husband and:

She was the last of her generation.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Susan Lee Helsel and brother Carl Goss.
She was a 1951 graduate of Philipsburg High School. She was an office manager at K-Mart in York and she was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Hellam.
Private services will be held the convenience of the family with Rev. Brenda K. Leigey officiating. Burial will be in Philipsburg Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Peggy’s memory may be made to The Salvation Army, 50 East King St., York, PA 17401 or to the York County SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
