Melanie Swartz, 2011 Clearfield County Fair Queen, recently purchased the 2012 Clearfield County Fair Queen Lamb on April 15, thanks to the help & support of Former Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture, Sam Hayes, Jr. The lamb, which Melanie name Pretzel, will be on display all week at the 152nd Clearfield County Fair & will be auctioned off during the 29th Annual Clearfield County 4-H & FFA Livestock and Poultry Sale on Aug. 4. Proceeds from the sale of Pretzel will benefit the Queen’s for a Cause Charity, which supports the Children’s Miracle Network & other local charities, as well as the Clearfield County 4-H & FFA Livestock Sale Scholarship Fund. 2012 marks the tenth year of the Clearfield County Fair Queen Lamb Project.
