DUBOIS – DuBois City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio held his first-ever press conference to announce an honor bestowed upon the City of DuBois.
Suplizio announced the city was selected by the Television program Today in America as one of the best places to live and work in America. He said it was one of 30 Class 3 cities chosen.
“We are honored,” said Suplizio. “This is something the community should be proud of.”
Suplizio commented on the things that make the City of Dubois a popular destination for commerce and living: the school district, medical facility, and its proximity to Interstate 80 and US Roue 219. He called DRMC one of the finest regional medical centers of its size in the country.
He also plugged the citizens of the city.
“They contribute each and every day.”
Suplizio said he was told by Jim Nicholas Veser of Today in America that the city was chosen due to its extraordinary marriage of lifestyle and business.
He added that the network will be in town on June 16 to begin filming for its “Rediscover America” segment. Today in American is hosted by Pittsburgh Steelers great and NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw.
