An incident of harassment occurred at approximately 5 p.m. May 19 on Hill Street in Chester Hill Borough, Clearfield County. A 26-year-old Philipsburg woman was allegedly harassed by a 25-year-old Philipsburg woman with intent to alarm her without any legitimate purposes. Charges were filed for harassment through the district court.
Two people sustained minor injuries after a single-vehicle accident that occurred at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday along U.S. Route 322 west of Graham Station Road in Decatur Township, Clearfield County. A vehicle operated by Charles L. Hazel III, 24, of Houtzdale was traveling eastbound, and there was a deer in the roadway. Hazel didn’t immediately observe the deer and wasn’t able to avoid it. His vehicle struck the deer, causing him to lose control of it. Then, it traveled off the southern berm and into a ditch. Hazel and his passenger, Jessica R. Ritter, 21, of Philipsburg were transported to the Clearfield Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Police were assisted at the scene by Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services, the Reliance and Hope fire companies and C&B Towing.
An incident of criminal mischief occurred at approximately 8 p.m. Tuesday on the railroad tracks behind Spruce Street in Bradford Township, Clearfield County. A 24-year-old Woodland man was allegedly observed tampering with railroad spikes and steel plates. Charges for criminal mischief were filed against him through the district court.
