Dorothy J. Kline, 89, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Clearfield, passed away May 11, 2012 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.
Mrs. Kline was born Oct. 27, 1922 in Goshen, PA the daughter of Benjamin C. and Bertha G. (Condon) Hainsey
She had worked at Sears for many years.
Mrs. Kline was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church of Clearfield, the Eastern Star and NON.
She is survived by four children; Orvis A. Kline of Media, PA, Susan P. Matot of Connecticut, Nancy C. Palmer of Ballston Spa, NY and David L. Kline and his wife Cindy of Lancaster, PA, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter, a brother, Jack Hainsey of Clearfield, a sister, Mona Cunkle and her husband Lou of Harrisburg and a former daughter-in-law, Sandy Jakubek of Vineland, NJ.
Mrs. Kline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Orvis P. Kline whom she married April 1, 1940 and who passed away Jan. 9, 1976, a sister, Vera Thompson and three brothers; Raymond, Charles and Marvin Hainsey.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on May 15 at the Goshen United Methodist Church with Pastor Susan Arnold officiating. Interment will be in Goshen Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., of Clearfield on May 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, 103 N. Front St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
