NORFOLK, Va. – After falling behind 7-0 early, the Clearfield Area High School baseball team fought back and tied Norfolk Collegiate with four runs in the top of the seventh inning, only to see the hosts scratch out a run in the bottom of the frame to spoil the Bisons’ opener, 10-9, Friday afternoon.
A walk, two sacrifice bunts that ended up being hits and a swinging bunt down the first base line produced the winning run, Clearfield coach Sid Lansberry said.
Tanner Ogden singled twice and Cole Kephart doubled for the Bisons, who will host Bellefonte Tuesday.
More details and a complete boxscore will be posted on GantDaily later.
