Tina Maurer Campbell, 52, of Butler and formerly of Philipsburg died Thursday at the Alleghany General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Feb. 12, 1960, she was the daughter of John “Buck” and Sandy (Greenawalt) Maurer, who survive, of Philipsburg.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of the St. John’s United Methodist Church of Slippery Rock.
She worked with SANCO, a family-owned and operated business in Philipsburg, for many years. She also worked at the Moshannon Valley Pharmacy in Philipsburg.
She was a 1978 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School and attended the Summerhill School of Business in Harrisburg. She also attended the Clearfield Vocational and Technical School, where she studied computer programming.
She wed Thomas Campbell May 1, 2000 in Emerald Isle, NC and who survives at home in Butler.
She’s survived by a step-daughter, Jessica Kam and her husband, Weng Hung Kam of Dundalk, MD; two step-sons, Daniel Campbell of Wendell, NC and Ben Campbell and his wife, Trish of Raleigh, NC and one step-grandson, Christian Kam of Dundalk, MD.
Also surviving are two brothers, John R. Maurer II and his wife, Dorothy and Don Maurer and his wife, Cindy, both of Philipsburg and numerous cousins.
Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John and Caramel (Dixon) Greenawalt, paternal grandparents, Don and Nora (Jones) Maurer, an infant sister, Tami; and a brother, Greg Maurer.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 121 South Front St., Philipsburg with the Rev. Brenda K. Leigey officiating. Interment will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday.
A memorial service will also be held at 7 p.m. at the St. John’s United Methodist Church, Slippery Rock.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 465, Philipsburg, PA 16866 or to the St. John’s United Methodist Church, 244 Halston Rd., Slippery Rock, PA 16057.
