Donald J. Marshall, 80, of Reynoldsville died Friday at the DuBois Regional Medical Center. Born July 8, 1931, he was the son of the late Harry S. and Nelda (Holman) Marshall.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He worked for Bell Telephone for 15 years and was the owner/operator of the Gateway Café in DuBois for 10 years.
He was a member of the Nativity of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church in DuBois. He also was a member of the George D. Montgomery American Legion Post 17.
On Oct. 31, 1953, he married Madeline (Meholick) Marshall. She survives.
He is survived by his children, Lance Marshall and his wife, Debbie and Michael Marshall and his wife, Grace, all of DuBois; Todd Marshall of Force; and Dawn Ckovsky and her husband, Bob of Big Run; two brothers, Lamont Marshall of DuBois and Gerald Marshall of St. Marys; three sisters, Linda Marshall and Doris Shaffer both of DuBois and Rebecca Anthony of Hazen; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, James Marshall and two sisters, Louise Stein and Billis Burnworth.
A Divine Liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Nativity of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church on Monday with Fr. John J. Mihalco as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Cemetery in Sykesville.
