On Tuesday, an 18-year-old female flagged down police in the first block of West Long Avenue. She told police that she’d been slapped by her boyfriend and ran to get away from him. Police checked the residence for her boyfriend, but he had already left in his vehicle. The female refused to press charges. She was transported by police to her apartment.
On Wednesday, police were dispatched for a highly intoxicated male at the Sheetz store on North Brady Street. At arrival police discovered the 56-year-old DuBois male had left in his vehicle. Police followed the male and determined he was DUI, and he was taken into custody.
On Wednesday, a 19-year-old DuBois male was robbed by a group of people in the 200 block of East DuBois Avenue. He was struck numerous times and once on the ground, they kicked as well before taking his money, some clothes he was wearing and other items. Police have suspects and are continuing their investigation at this time.
Police are investigating a reported assault that occurred April 29 at the Eastside Sports Bar. A 21-year-old Falls Creek man reported that he was struck in the side of the head by another person when attempted to break up a fight between two women.
On Wednesday, two females were engaged in a dispute over noise in the 300 block of South Jared Street. Police resolved the situation without any arrests.
On Thursday, someone smashed the window out of a truck, which was parked in the 300 block of East DuBois Avenue. A purse, which contained numerous personal items, was removed from the truck.
