Earl E. Neamy, 72 of Clearfield died on May 3, 2012 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
He was born on May 30, 1939 in Ansonville, a son of the late Earl G. and Beatrice A. (McFadden) Neamy.
Mr. Neamy retired as a Right-of-Way administrator from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation after 32 years of service. After retirement, he worked as a private consultant concerning Right-of-Way.
He was a member of Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #540, Clearfield and also served on the Board of the Clearfield County Housing Authority. Mr. Neamy enjoyed classic cars, especially his Chevy Caprice, and riding motorcycles. He also loved to camp and follow Penn State Football. He will be greatly missed by his beloved West Highland Terrier, Nit-Nee.
He is survived by his wife, Joan B. (Bell) Neamy whom he wed February 14, 1981 in Winchester, VA; two daughters Kathy J. Harnish and husband Keith of Hyde and Rebecca Martell and husband Gordon of Curwensville; a step daughter Kimberly Marsh and husband Joe of Woodland; five grandchildren; and a sister Carol Anderson and husband Ronald of Harrisburg.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at 11 AM with Rev. Mark S. Brower officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 PM and on Saturday from 10-11 a.m.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second St., Clearfield or to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 541 Graham Station Rd, Philipsburg, PA 16866.
