UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Coaches Caravan will make six stops May 8-10 at events in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Connecticut as the tour enters its second week. Football Coach Bill O’Brien will be joined by Lady Lion basketball coach Coquese Washington, men’s golf coach Greg Nye and women’s volleyball coach Russ Rose at various stops throughout the week.
The Coaches Caravan, presented by the Nittany Lion Club and Penn State Alumni Association, is making 18 stops in seven states and Washington, D.C. O’Brien will be at each event, with 11 other coaches appearing at various stops. Week two kicks off on Tuesday, May 8, with O’Brien, Washington and Nye at a lunch program from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Penn State Hazleton Gymnasium. Register for the Hazleton event here.
The trio then heads to the Lehigh Valley for an evening reception and program at 6 p.m. at The Sands Bethlehem Events Center. Register for the Lehigh Valley stop here.
Wednesday, May 9 will find the coaches in Woodbridge, N.J. for an 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. lunch at the Hilton Woodbridge. Register for the Northern/Central New Jersey program here.
That evening, Rose joins O’Brien, Washington and Nye in New York City for an evening reception and program starting at 6 p.m. at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers. Register for the New York City event here.
Week two concludes on Thursday, May 10 as O’Brien and Nye head to the Hartford area for an 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. lunch at the Farmington Marriott Hotel. Register for the Hartford, Conn. area stop here.
O’Brien and Nye then head back to Pennsylvania for the Alumni Association’s Greater Scranton Chapter dinner at 6 p.m. at Genetti Manor in Dickson City. Registration for the Scranton area event is being handled by the chapter and can be found here.
The Caravan got under way April 30 with stops in Philadelphia and Drexel Hill, where O’Brien was joined by men’s basketball coach Patrick Chambers and field hockey coach Char Morett.
