Margaret P. Knepp, 94, of Niles, OH and formerly of Clearfield, died Sunday at Autumn Hills Care Center, Niles, OH.
Mrs. Knepp was born May 15, 1917 in Clearfield, the daughter of Roy E. and Olive D. (Park) Parks.
She was a homemaker and had a talent for and enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for special occasions.
Mrs. Knepp was a member of the Clearfield Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by three children, John Knepp of Virginia, Peggy Jo Thompson and her husband, Robert of Ohio and Thomas Knepp of Florida; four grandchildren, Rev. T. Gregory Knepp, Tracy Selby, Debbie Hale and Michael McCune; a step-grandson, Mark Thompson, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Knepp was the last member of her generation and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred J. “Doug” Knepp, whom she married Jan. 9, 1936 and who passed away Dec. 30, 1998; a granddaughter, Karen Knepp; four brothers, Merrill and Marlin Wright and Ralph and Tom Parks; and a sister, Eva Thorburn.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc. with her grandson, Rev T. Gregory Knepp officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends will be received from 12 p.m. until the hour of services Thursday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield Presbyterian Church, 119 South Second St., Clearfield, PA 16830 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
