WINSLOW TOWNSHIP – The DuBois-based state police located a missing 10-year-old Winslow Township boy at 4:45 p.m. Saturday after he’d been reported missing approximately four hours earlier.
State police didn’t identify the boy but said he’d been observed running away from his home on Owens Farm Road. He was headed in an eastern direction into a wooded area.
The state police received assistance from family members, local residents and the Reynoldsville Fire Department in searching for the boy. He was later located with assistance from the DuBois City Police Department at a friend’s residence. He was returned to his residence.
State police notified the Jefferson County Children, Youth and Family Services of the incident.
