Frank D. Brumbaugh, 56 of Philipsburg, passed away on April 18, 2012, at Port Matilda Highway, Philipsburg.
Born May 30, 1955, he was the son of Frank J. Brumbaugh, who survives in Philipsburg, and the late Evelyn (Dorman) Brumbaugh.
He was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Philipsburg. All of his fondest memories were of Delaware, especially his many trips to Wilimington, where he visited all of the city’s parks and museums. He liked reading newspapers as well as historical non-fiction, playing tennis, and listening to his extensive record collection. He was a devoted Penn State Nittany Lion and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He worked 18.5 years for Acme Markets in Delaware and several jobs in the Philipsburg area.
He was a 1973 graduate of Milford High School and a 1978 graduate of of Delaware State University. He worked his way entirely through college, earning a bachelor’s degree in history education with a double major in English.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 2007.
He is survived by his father.
Funeral services will be held on April 23 at 11 a.m. at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, Philipsburg, with the Rev. William R. Walker officiating. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
