David Lee Weitoish, Sr., 59, of Sandy Ridge and formerly of Clearfield passed away at the home of his brother, James Weitoish, on Sunday, April 8, 2012.
Born December 8, 1952 he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Weitoish.
He retired as a plumber for Kimmen Plumming and Heating of Altoona.
Mr. Weitoish was of the Catholic faith. He served in the Marine Corps and the National Guard and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW Post # 5020, Amvets Post #159 and the American Legion Post #437.
He is survived by three sons, Ronald L. of Sandy Ridge; Donald L. and his wife Krista of Osceola Mills and David L., Jr. of York. He is also survived by three sisters, Lisa Guenot and her husband Greg of West Decatur, Jennifer M. Weitoish of Winburne, and Barbara A. Kephart and her husband Barry of Sandy Ridge; four brothers, Frank Jr. and his wife Kristina of Reinholds, Leroy and his wife Susan of Morrisdale, James, Sr and his companion Wendy Lanich of Sandy Ridge, John Sr and his wife Antonette of Elizabeth, NJ; seven grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home, Osceola Mills with the Deacon Dennis J. Socash officiating.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be held in the Presbyterian Cemetery, Kylertown.
