An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday along Medix Grade Road in Goshen Township, Clearfield County. A person(s) smashed a window out of a John Deere excavator that belonged to Mid-Ohio Pipeline of Lexington, OH. An incident of theft occurred at 8:27 Saturday at the Grampian One Shop in Grampian Borough, Clearfield County. A 22-year-old Curwensville woman reported that her prescription medication had been stolen out of her purse. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
A single-vehicle accident occurred at approximately 2 p.m. Saturday along sportsmen’s Club Road in Covington Township, Clearfield County. A 27-year-old Kylertown woman was traveling northbound when she lost control of her vehicle. It traveled off the east berm and struck a tree with its front end, causing it to overturn onto its driver’s side. The woman was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for medical treatment. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident. The woman will be cited for driving vehicle at a safe speed through the district court.
A minor injury was reported following an ATV accident that occurred at 2:12 a.m. Sunday along Route 919 at its intersection with state Route 253 in Gulich Township, Clearfield County. A 33-year-old Beccaria man was traveling southbound when he lost control of his ATV and struck a stop sign. His ATV traveled another 15 feet at which point he was ejected from it. He’s currently facing DUI charges and several traffic violations. Police were assisted by Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services and the Ramey Fire Company.
An incident of DUI occurred at 12:45 a.m. Sunday along SR 729 and Sawmill Road in Beccaria Township, Clearfield County. An 18-year-old Coalport man was found passed out while in control of his motor vehicle. Further investigation revealed that he’d been operating his vehicle when under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested for DUI and transported to the Clearfield Hospital for blood testing. Charges will be filed through the district court.
Minor injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident at approximately 4:10 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of SR 53 and SR 1009 in Morris Township, Clearfield County. Sean M. Moore, 25, of Houtzdale was traveling southbound on SR 53, while a vehicle operated by an 18-year-old Morrisdale female was traveling northbound. The female attempted to make a left-hand turn onto SR 1009 in front of the Moore vehicle, causing it to strike her vehicle. The female was transported to the Clearfield Hospital with minor injuries. She’ll be cited for vehicle turning left, restraint systems and financial responsibility through the district court. Her passenger, and 18-year-old Morrisdale male – will be cited for restraint systems. Neither the male nor Moore were injured in the accident.
