KANE – A Kane Borough fire caused an estimated $75,000 worth of damage to one man’s home at 11:43 p.m. Wednesday, the Ridgway-based state police reported.
According to the report, the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshall and the Kane Borough Police and Fire departments investigated the origin and cause of the fire. The fire damaged a residential dwelling at 118 Ash Street that belonged to Charles E. Johnson of Kane.
The victim was home at the time of the fire and had discovered smoke, coming from the basement of his residence. No injuries were reported, however. The fire remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
