Larry W. “Ship” LeCerf, 72, of Houtzdale died Wednesday at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
He was born on Sept. 7, 1939 at Atlantic, RD Houtzdale, a son of the late Emil and Leona (Finney) LeCerf. He worked as a spreader at former JBC Sewing Factory of Madera for over 30 years.
He was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Madera and a member of the Madera Moose #1172. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing softball for the MOOSE Lodge.
On June 4, 1966 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Madera, he married Jean F. (Kitko) LeCerf, who survives of Houtzdale.
Mr. LeCerf is survived by a son, Larry J. LeCerf, of Houtzdale and a sister, Adeline Goodrich of Nanty Glo. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Bertha Kitko of Madera.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Warholic.
Friends will be received from 2p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Madera.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Madera,with Fr. Stanley J. Swacha as celebrant.
Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Madera.
