Shirley Ann Swatsworth, 73, of Curwensville, died Saturday at her residence. Born Aug. 1, 1938 in Egypt, Bradford Township, she was the daughter of Robert and Nancy (Krebs) Graham.
She had been employed as a manager at the former Winky’s Restaurant in Clearfield. She had worked at the former Clearfield Cheese Co. and the Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville. She was also a homemaker.
On Feb. 14, 1956 in Curwensville, she wed Richard A. Swatsworth, who survives along with six children, Ricky A. “Whitey” Swatsworth; Michelle Mayhew and her husband, Tim and Brian K. Swatsworth and his fiancée’, Jeanette McGarry, all of Curwensville; Pamela Stewart and her husband, Lee of Clarion; Kimberly Swatsworth and her companion, Don Shawley of Irvona; and Lisa Mick and her husband, Jim of Glen Richey.
Also surviving are four grandsons, six granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren, a brother and three sisters, Raymond Graham and his wife, Barb of Glen Richey, Ada Bain of Hyde, Donna Evans and her husband, Rick of Madera and Connie Rowles of Clearfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Dicky Swatsworth, a granddaughter, Mary Moore, a brother, Robert Graham, and two sisters Harriet Goodrow and Esther Rougeux.
Funeral services for Mrs. Swatsworth will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville with the Rev. George W. Solley officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomington Cemetery, Curwensville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Wednesday.
