Edward Montini, 72, of Goshen died Saturday at the Clearfield Hospital.
Mr. Montini was born July 3, 1939 in Mantua, N.J., the son of Charles and Fanny (Matteis) Montini.
He had worked for Prudential as an insurance agent, the Wal-Mart Distribution Center and was a self-employed piano tuner until his retirement.
He was a member of the Goshen United Methodist Church, where he served as a trustee and organist.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean conflict.
Mr. Montini was a member of the Clearfield Community Band and the 14th Street Jazz Band.
He is survived by his wife, Connie A. (Ogden) Montini; two children, Edward L.
Montini Jr., and his wife, Denise of DuBois and Victoria L. Fasick and her husband,
Mark of Altoona; seven grandchildren, Edward L. Montini III and his wife, Becky;
Megan Montini and her fiancé, Jacob Weaver; Robert Fasick; Jonathan Somerton;
Ryan, Nathan and Nicholas Fasick; a great-grandson, Kaleb E. Montini; and a sister, Marie Bowers and her husband, Harry of New Jersey.
Mr. Montini was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Rita Deggs; and three brothers, George, Victor and Charles Montini Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Goshen United Methodist Church with Pastor Susan Arnold officiating. Interment will be in Goshen Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded at the church by the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., of Clearfield and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday at the church.
