CURWENSVILLE – The state police in Clearfield reported that on Wednesday multiple people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident.
According to police, Michael T. Kritzer of Olanta was driving south on state Route 453 near Water Street. Police said the roadway was icy and Kritzer traveled into the oncoming lane of traffic. He struck a van hauling students head on, driven by Steven C. Heuser of Grampian. Heuser’s van the drifted backward and struck a school bus driven by Kimberly Haney of Grampian.
Police noted that Kritzer was uninjured; Heuser was airlifted to Altoona Regional for treatment of major injuries; five kids from Heuser’s van suffered various injuries and were taken to Clearfield Hospital for further medical evaluation; and Haney and all on her bus were uninjured.
