CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Feb. 21, 2012.
Shaw identified the Fugitive as Tracy Mortimer, age 31, of Brockway, Pennsylvania.
Shaw stated that Mortimer is wanted for failure to appear at plea and sentencing court on Feb. 14, 2012.
On April 27, 2011, Officer Michael Davidson of the DuBois City Police Department, filed a criminal complaint charging Mortimer with criminal mischief, M2.
An affidavit of probable cause filed by Davidson states that on April 8, 2011, Officers were dispatched to a residence on South Main Street in DuBois City for the report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle. Upon arrival at the scene, Davidson observed large scratches on both sides of the vehicle and that the vehicle had two flat tires. A witness reported that she had observed Mortimer causing the damage to the vehicle. The damages were estimated at approximately $1,916.90.
A preliminary hearing was held on June 3, 2011, at which time all charges were held to court.
In a separate case, Officer Shawn Bloom of the DuBois City Police Department, filed a criminal complaint charging Mortimer with: 1) theft by unlawful taking or disposition, M1; and 2) receiving stolen property, M1.
An affidavit of probable cause filed by Bloom states that on Oct. 20, 2011, officers were dispatched to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for the report of a theft. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with staff who relayed that Mortimer and another individual had attempted to unlawfully remove $259.00 worth of items from the hospital.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Nov. 18. 2011, at which time all charges were held for court. On Feb. 14, 2012, Mortimer failed to appear for plea and sentencing court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
