CLEARFIELD – An Osceola Mills man facing numerous charges related to a incidents in February waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.
According to the state police in Clearfield, Monroe Bell was traveling east on Hale Street. Police said he was traveling at a speed that caused him to lose control of his vehicle. As he approached a stop sign at the intersection of Hale and Pruner Streets, he failed to come to a stop. Police said he crossed Pruner Street and struck two houses.
A witness approached the vehicle and attempted to keep Bell from leaving the scene. Police said as the witness, stood near the open driver’s door, Bell backed his vehicle onto Pruner Street, striking another vehicle. In the process, the witness was struck and thrown into the second vehicle. Police said he suffered minor injuries. The report then states that Bell fled the scene.
Police said bell was later found and arrested for DUI, recklessly endangering another person and numerous vehicle code violations.
