The judges rated Rosenthal’s routine a meet-high 6.8 for degree of difficulty and 9.5 for execution.
Rosenthal, ranked No. 1 nationally by GymInfo the last three weeks, set the Penn State standard against Army in the season opener when he matched the NCAA record posted twice by former Ohio State standout Brandon Wynn.

BASEBALLThe hard-throwing right-hander was a mainstay in the bullpen for the Lions last spring, picking up three wins and four saves in 11 appearances.
In his lone start, Zurat turned in a strong performance against Penn State Altoona in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Tournament elimination game but wasn’t involved in the decision despite striking out 10 and allowing only five hits and two runs in 6.2 innings.
Zurat was selected Rookie of the Year by his teammates and coaches after logging a 2.86 earned run average with 33 strikeouts in 22 innings. He walked only six and surrendered 14 hits.
Third baseman Matt Bittner, pitcher Jay Condit and outfielder Ryan Kragnes are the other three Lions on the list. All are juniors.
Bittner earned team Most Valuable Player honors in 2011 after hitting .403 with five home runs and a team-high 12 doubles while leading the AMCC in RBIs with 51.
Condit received the Most Valuable Pitcher award for a 5-0 record, five saves and a 1.49 ERA in 36.1 innings as a starter and reliever.
Kragnes hit .386 and had an on-base average of .494 as the leadoff batter.
“This preseason attention is warranted for these four guys,” said head coach Paul Benim in a release on the Penn State Behrend baseball website. “They were very good for us last season and will be heavily relied upon as we embark on a challenging schedule this spring.”

Krchnak’s 26.67-second split was the fastest of the event as the Golden Eagles turned in a 1:37.74 time.
Krchnak also swam the third leg in 22.59 seconds for the Golden Eagle ‘B’ 200 freestyle relay foursome that posted a 1:31.40 to place third against Grove City and fourth against the other two teams.
Clarion lost 148-138 to Grove City, 156-129 to Carnegie Mellon and 215-66 to Pitt for a final dual meet record of 4-5.
Krchnak and the Golden Eagles will be competing in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships at Cumberland Valley High School this weekend.

WOMEN’S SWIMMING CHICAGO, Ill. – Junior Brandie Centi of Clearfield placed in two individual events and a relay for Lincoln College against host Illinois Institute of Technology and Robert Morris University-Illinois Friday.She was second in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:01.32 and third in the 50 free in 27.50 seconds against RMU-Illinois and finished third and fourth, respectively, in those races against Illinois Tech.
Centi swam the third split for the Lynx ‘B’ 200 free relay team that was second against both teams.
