DECATUR TOWNSHIP – The Decatur Township Police Department is searching for an armed robber.
According to police, around 9:20 p.m. on Jan. 25, police were called for an armed robbery at the Kwik Fill on Walton Street. The robber is described as being about 6 feet, 2 inches tall and having a skinny build. He was wearing a black hoodie and a red bandana. He was carrying a pistol that was covered in a white bandana. Police are also searching for a vehicle that was in the area at the time of the robbery. It was described as a silver or gold Nissan Maxima or Altima four door with a sun roof and a dent in the passenger front door.
Police said an estimated $362.65 was taken, with $50 of that amount in one dollar bill.
