Sean Michael McDonald, 30, of Curwensville, passed away Jan. 18, 2012 at the West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, after a lengthy illness.
Born June 12, 1981 in Clearfield, he was the son of Michael A. and Brenda J. (Brown) McDonald. He was employed by McDonald landscaping as a Landscape Architect, was a member of the Tri County Church of God in DuBois, and was a member of the Y.M.C.A.
Sean got so much out of life in his thirty years and was an inspiration to all who knew him. He had an amazingly positive spirit and made the most of each day even through the toughest times. He was sweet and funny and loved to make people laugh. He had a strong faith in God and often quoted, 1 John 4:8 – God is love. Sean will be missed so much by so many.
Surviving are his parents of Curwensville, his fiancée Alicia Chutko of Morrisdale, his brothers Brandon and Travis McDonald both of Curwensville, his paternal grandmother Karen (Rowles) Hugney of Grampian, his paternal grandfather and step grandmother Fahy “Twig” and Stella McDonald of Pinehurst, NC, and his maternal grandmother and her companion Carol (Knepp) Brown and Charles Carter of Curwensville.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Brent Brown, his paternal step grandfather August “Beef” Hugney, his paternal Aunt Kathy McDonald and paternal Uncle Mark McDonald.
Funeral Services for Sean will be held at the Tri County Church of God Route 255 North, DuBois on Jan. 21 at 11:00 a.m., with the Reverend David Bish officiating. Interment will be in the Friends Cemetery Grampian, PA.
Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, on Jan. 20 from 3 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m., when the procession will depart for the church.
