Darryl R. “Tuck” Martin, 61, of Clearfield, PA passed away on Jan. 18, 2012 at his home.
Born on Aug. 8, 1950 in Philipsburg, PA, he was the son of Robert R. “Bob” and Rae Jean (Bloom) Martin.
Mr. Martin was a 1968 graduate of Moshannon Valley High School. He was later employed by the Crescent Brick Refractories and Target Sportswear. Mr. Martin continued his education by attending the J.H. Thompson Academies in 1990 and became a licensed barber.
He was affiliated with the Free Methodist Church in Clearfield. Mr. Martin followed high school sporting events and was an avid Penn State Fan.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl N. (Lumadue) Martin, of Clearfield, whom he married on September 10, 1977; a son, Garth I. Martin at home and a brother, Robert R. “Randy” Martin and his wife Susan of Clearfield.
Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield on Jan. 23, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Joel Leininger officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin, PA.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Jan. 22 from 3-7 p.m. and on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
