CLEARFIELD – The first edition of the Clearfield Chamber cookbook will feature one recipe from each participating member of the Clearfield Chamber of Commerce.
“Being new as the director, I really wanted to think of some new ideas that could not only help out the Chamber, but more importantly, our members,” said Holly Bloom, Chamber director. “I love to cook and I am always looking for new recipes and this is how I got the idea to create one for the community.”
The benefits of placing a recipe in the Chamber cookbook are very simple, Bloom said. By placing a recipe from your business, I include the recipe as well as the business or organizations logo and contact information beside it. This way it serves a purpose to the business for getting their logo and information seen by the community, but also for what it is, a cookbook. There is also a section in the back of the book that is for coupons. Each business or organization can create a coupon to be placed in the cookbook, Bloom said.
This book serves three great purposes to community members who purchase the cookbook. It gives the person some great recipes, publicity to local businesses to learn about who they are and what they do and also to use coupons when visiting these local businesses.
“I hope to get a great response out of everyone to create a 2013 edition,” Bloom said. The cookbook’s cover will feature photographs from Clearfield County.
Cookbooks cost $5 a piece, or $20 for five cookbooks. Cookbooks can be ordered through the Chamber any time after completion, which should be early March. Questions can be directed to the Chamber office at 765-7567.
