AUSTIN – A “Winter Backyard Birding” program has been announced for 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Sinnemahoning State Park.
Spring is a long way away and Pennsylvania’s birds are dealing with harsh winter conditions. Setting up a backyard bird feeder is an excellent way to help them survive a difficult time of year.
Participants will join Sinnemahoning State Park’s naturalist for an informative program on attracting, feeding and identifying the area’s winter residents. The program will wind up with a chance to make a pinecone bird feeder to hang in your own backyard.
Participants should meet at the new Wildlife Center on Park Road near the Cameron/Potter county line. Call the park at 814-647-8401 for more information or directions.
