WOODWARD TOWNSHIP – The cause of a mobile home fire, which occurred at 8 p.m. Thursday in Woodward Township, remains under investigation, according to the Ridgway-based state police.
The state police have identified the fire victim as Norman Kyler Sr. of Houtzdale. He was transported by ambulance to the Clearfield Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
According to the report, the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal at Ridgway and the Houtzdale Fire Department investigated the origin and cause of the fire. The fire destroyed a mobile home at 53 Phillips Avenue, causing an estimated $40,000 worth of damage.
