The Curwensville Lady Tide volleyball team held “Think Pink” nights during October at home volleyball matches, and recently presented $500 of the proceeds to the Nathaniel D. Yingling, M.D., Cancer Center of Clearfield Hospital. The team has been sponsoring this fundraiser for several years, and raises money by selling chances on prizes as well as selling pink paper volleyballs honoring cancer survivors and in memory of those lost. Coach Sandy Bailor said she was proud of the team for its efforts and added, “Raising money for this cause is important to our program and the team because we, as a group, have personally experienced family members within our program who are fighting this disease and it gives us all a sense of hope that by raising money we can help to find the cure for cancer. We thank everyone who helped us in this cause.”
