No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident at 2:45 p.m. Monday along Interstate 80 at approximately mile marker 92.7 in Washington Township, Jefferson County. Vehicles operated by Kimberly M. Payne, 27, of Pittsburgh and Linda A. Wills, 25, of Dysart were westbound in the right lane. The Dysart vehicle slowed for traffic ahead due to icy road conditions and was rear-ended by the Payne vehicle.
No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 2:45 p.m. Monday along Interstate 80 eastbound at mile marker 94.1 in Washington Township, Jefferson County. William N. Martin, 22, of Telford was traveling when traffic ahead stopped for an accident, which had closed both lanes. The Martin vehicle slid on the icy roadway and struck the guiderails.
No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday along Interstate 80 west of Smithtown Road in Washington Township, Jefferson County. Vehicles driven by a 66-year-old Ravenna, OH man and a 30-year-old Beloit, OH man were traveling eastbound. For unexplained reasons, the first man’s vehicle drifted partially into the right lane at which time its right, rear corner impacted the left, front corner of the latter man’s vehicle. The first man’s vehicle spun clockwise and slid off the south side and impacted the guiderail. The latter vehicle spun counterclockwise and slid off the north side and down into the median. The first man was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic. Police were assisted at the scene by the Falls Creek Volunteer Fire Department and the Zimmerman Towing Co.
