Avenell V. Adams, 91, of Clearfield, PA passed away on Jan. 3, 2012 at Mt. Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on Feb. 13, 1920, in Clearfield, the daughter of Blaine and Florence (Hines) Fleming.
Avenell was a homemaker.
She is a member of the West Side United Methodist Church.
Avenell is survived by her husband, Ellery W. Adams, of Clearfield, four children: Virginia Mooney and her husband Patrick of DuBois, Robert Adams and his wife Gail, of Clearfield, Jack Adams and his wife Carol, of Poughkeepsie, NY, Judith Adams, of Penfield; five grandchildren: Bridget Bryan, Jennifer Weniger and her husband Fred, Renee Wallace and her husband, James , Charles Adams and his wife Donna, Elaine Krakower; and ten great grandchildren, a brother Donald Fleming of Cherry Tree and a sister, Elizabeth of Minneapolis, MN. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers; Francis, Bob, Jim Fleming.
Funeral services will be held at Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. on Jan. 7 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Joleen A. Willis officiating. Interment will be held in the Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Jan. 6 from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the services.
