CURWENSVILLE – Visitors to the Curwensville Lake Recreation Area will get to enjoy revamped playground equipment when the weather permits installation.
“The Lake has been working on a Master Site Development Plan,” said Susan Reed, Curwensville Lake Authority board member. “We applied to DCNR to replace the first of four playgrounds.”
Reed said the new equipment will be installed in the playground that is closest to pavilion 2, which is above the marina area of the lake. This will also be made handicap accessible.
“We are so grateful to DCNR for helping us with this project, and are pleased to offer new equipment for the children who visit to enjoy,” Reed said.
Upgrades to the remaining playground equipment will take place, as long as funds permit, Reed said.
