Virginia M. DeCerio, 80, of Philipsburg, died Monday at the Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born Nov. 14, 1931 in Pleasantville, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Florence I. (Myers) Ridenour.
She was of the Christian faith.
Mrs. DeCerio retired from waitressing at the 401 Restaurant in Conshohocken.
She married Lewis J. DeCerio on Sept. 4, 1948 in Lafayette Hills. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1988.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Willey; three sons, Francis DeCerio, Charles DeCerio and Lewis DeCerio Jr.; and one brother, Harry Ridenour.
She’s survived by two daughters, Donna J. DeCerio and Linda DeCerio, both of Philipsburg; one sister, Rose Wilt and her husband, Thomas of Philadelphia; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
There will neither be a funeral service nor a public viewing. Burial will be in Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills.
The Heath Funeral Home, Osceola Mills, is in charge of arrangements.
