CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Board of Commissioners named John A. Sobel its chairperson at Tuesday afternoon’s reorganizational meeting. Commissioner Joan Robinson-McMillen will serve as the board’s vice chairperson.
Sobel and Robinson-McMillen will also respectively serve as the chairperson and vice chairperson of the salary board. The commissioners’ chairperson is required to lead the salary board, according to county code.
As last year, the commissioners are scheduled to meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month. Work sessions will be on the first Tuesday of every month.
All commissioners’ meetings are scheduled for 10 a.m. in the conference room of the Clearfield County Administrative Offices.
The board reappointed Lisa McFadden as the chief clerk and Kim Kesner as the county solicitor. In addition, Lee Simpson was named the county’s engineer for the upcoming year.
